An Interview with Hide & Seek

Niall, Sam, Antonio and James, aka Hide & Seek, are an indie band from London who are already beginning to make waves across the indie music scene. Along with the 2 demos that the band have posted on Soundcloud they also have countless live videos on their youtube page that have attracted people and having already played with the likes of The Amazons and Lisbon, they have subsequently gained themselves a growing fanbase. I got the chance to interview the band and ask them a few questions.

How long have you been making music & how did the band start?

We’ve all been making music since a young age, myself (Niall) songwriting wise early memories was writing a song about the film flushed away, we formed the band after we all met at college and I (Niall) had a song that I wrote and wanted to play with my mates and it just carried on from there really.

Who are your top 3 musical influences?

  • Wolf Alice
  • Catfish & the Bottlemen
  • Peace

What are your goals and aspirations for the band?

Definitely play Reading Festival, headline our own tour and have a number 1 debut album of course!

What do you have planned for 2016?

We just want to gig as much as we can, play as many festivals as possible, release lots of new music and to be in BBC introducing would be really cool.

Who would you say is your ultimate music idol?

Honestly couldn’t pick one, so I would have to say Matt Healy, Van McCann, Dave Grohl, Freddie Mercury, Jeff Buckley and Jeff Lynne.

As previously mentioned, the band have a lot of material that you can find on any of the links below:
